Complex nose reminiscent of dried fruits, apricots, caramel, salt and ripe citrus, powerful dry, salty and sweet soft tannins on the finish.
An assemblage of a field with a lot of sandy marl soil. Slow down and press with your foot. Fermented in concrete tanks with native yeast only. 4 days maceration. It is transferred once and aged in acacia, cherry and oak barrels with a small amount of fine lees. The maturation period is 36 months or longer. Assemblage and bottling. A small amount of sulfite is added at bottling.
Alex has the same idea as Radicon, Dario, Murechinik, etc., but has evolved in his own way. With intense tannins and varietal minerality and freshness, this long maceration is unlike any other wine.
The idea of wine making is close to "Walter Murecinic", "Stanko Radicon", and "Dario Princhi", etc., and is greatly influenced by them. However, among them, Alex's wine has undergone its own evolution, and its unique personality that is not an imitation of anyone stands out.
Fermentation is wild yeast only. Made in large barrels with 5 to 30 days of maceration. It changes depending on the condition of the pericarp and fermentation temperature.
■An assemblage of the Garderin local varieties ``Ribola'', ``Verduzzo'', ``Malvasia'' and ``Friulano''. Ribolla 30 days maceration, other varieties 14 days maceration. Aged in various barrels, mainly acacia barrels.
