Grape variety: Chenin Blanc
Uses Chenin Blanc (Masago soil, clay) from the 34-year-old Waterval field. dry farming. Bush Vine. Harvested by hand, sorted and then slowly pressed in a basket press with whole clusters. At the juice stage, hyperoxidation (oxidation before fermentation). Transferred to 1600 liter concrete egg tanks, surreal fermented without any racking and aged for 16 months. Unfiltered and bottled without added antioxidants.
Weeperfontein Chenin Blanc is Johann's favorite Chenin Blanc. It is made without any skin contact and is matured for 16 months in a concrete egg tank just like Brutal. Very mineral, with good acidity. In addition to the cheap range of Chenin, this Chenin is one that you should know.

Because of his petite and friendly personality, he is a beloved character who is nicknamed Stompy by everyone. A wonderful producer who creates a fascinating and delicate wine that is unimaginable from its appearance. Diploma in oenology and agronomy from Elsenberg College. After that, he studied the basics of winemaking, especially Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, in California's Napa Valley, Central Coast, and New Zealand.
