French Cote du Rhone

Grape variety: Syrah

A prestigious winery founded in 1808 in Tan Hermitage, a famous brewery in the northern Rhone region. Up to now, Michel Chapoutier, the 7th generation, protects the fields under consistent family management and makes wine using grapes grown in organic and biodynamic cultivation. Since 2010, it has been voted Best Winery five times since 2010 in its list of "The World's Most Admired Wine Brands" by Drinks International. The field is a steep slope in Côte Brune, and after destemming, it is fermented in concrete tanks, pumped over every day, and vinified while keeping the temperature below 32°C. It has a rustic and smoky nuance like Cote Rotie, and it has a scent of violet liqueur, raspberry, and spices like pepper.
